Preparations for Homeowners

Protecting your investment is as easy as 1, 2, 3.
1. Take Elevator to the top floor
2. Pull the emergency stop button completely out or make sure it is in the STOP position (this will prevent the elevator from lowering in the event of loss of power or recovery of power)
3. If the disconnects are accessible, turn them off

Optional
Residential Elevators offers an Automatic Float Switch, which will automatically send your elevator up and park it on an upper floor should the elevator pit start to fill with water. This feature provides peace of mind in the event you have to vacate your property and forget to do the above or are unable to secure home prior to storm.
